Katharine’s First Concert
Finally, after weeks of anticipation. Katharine finally rejoins the other Idol finalists singing on stage and working it with the crowd at the Verizon Center in Washington DC.
Weeks before that, there have been numerous rumors and speculations about Ms. McPhee’s absence. For instance, "She’s missing the tour because she was shooting for a movie", "She feels like she’s too good for Idol", etc. etc. etc. But of course, that’s all false.
The truth is she had Bronchitis and Laryngitis and was on total vocal rest. McPhee wrote in a letter that she was dated to return for the Idol tour on July 21, but days after that we received an update that Kat’s doctor will be holding her up for one more week because her vocal chords were not fully healed. A few days later, Katharine came back with a bang. She co-hosted a show called "The View" with guest appearances from Kathy Griffin and Britany Snow. Also, she taped an episode for an upcoming show called "Dr.Keith Albow" where she shared her bulimia struggle for the first time. She also did an interview with "Extra" and then "Access Hollywood".

Okay so back to the Idol Tour:
Katharine first started with KT Tunstall’s "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree"
I’ve seen the video and I must say she was really good. It’s like watching a real Superstar in Concert and I’m not being biased here. I can still sense that her voice is not completely healed, it’s quite obvious that she’s holding it back. But that girl is just amazing!

You can see her strutting around the stage and interacts with the audience. Also after that, she broke down into tears (aww..kat) which shows a little vulnerability to her side. But that just shows how genuine she is and you can tell that she was really overwhelmed and touched by the audience’s reaction.
After that she performed her very own remake of the classic song "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"
Seriously, she’s really good for someone who have just been on total vocal rest for the past three weeks. This girl is just so breathtaking and she never ceases to amaze us. This was kinda like an emotional moment for us Kat Fans since after what we’ve been through for the past couple of weeks, with all the bashing and the rumors, but now our Kat is finally back and they can kick their sorry ass goodbye. The McPheever is spreading!

All you can hear in this video are the screams of the audience, it’s kinda hard to hear Kat sing. But it was great that she recieved a huge reception from the crowd. She deserves it.
