Katharine’s Singles
Finally I get to hear the full length version of her new single "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and "My Destiny". Okay, first and foremost I’m going to comment on the first song "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". I totally loved this song and I loved her own rendition of Over The Rainbow. She sang it brilliantly on the show so I didn’t have any worries about her studio version cause I know that it would still be amazing. But ‘WOW’ the moment I heard her studio version I was just speechless. It totally took my breath away! I mean, seriously I was like *Gasp* and I just didn’t have the right words to describe how good it was. They kind of made some changes to the song and added a little jazzy, r&b, ballad and pop sound into it. It was just phenomenal! I loved it! Really, really loved it! Also loved the ending, I totally recommend buying her single because I assure you that you won’t be dissappointed.
Now to the next song "My Destiny". As I’ve said before, I didn’t like the song at first but when I tried listening to it again it sounded pretty okay. Quite frankly, I keep singing the damn song every single day and it’s just stuck in my head all the time. So yeah I liked it. I was really anticipating the studio version of the song because I know that Kat wasn’t 100% during the finale and lowered some of the notes just so she won’t lose her voice. Now, I was finally able to hear the studio version and I’m telling you it’s so much better! I’m loving it! They didn’t make changes in this song, Kat just sang it a little higher this time and it’s fantastic! It’s quite a cheesy song, something as close to "A Moment Like This" that Kelly Clarkson sang but I loved it! This is actually the kind of songs I like and I do hope that Kat would make albums somewhere along the lines of Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. But I would suggest that she would take Christina Aguilera as a role model and someone that she would look up to (Although, don’t take it to far and go Xtina on me… But even if you would, just continue making great music because that’s the most important thing really.)
I’m really excited for her single to come out now, only two more weeks left!
