Will Katharine be the Next American Idol?
As much as it hurts for me to say this, but I don’t think Katharine will win this time. It’s not that I don’t believe in Katharine, in fact I have faith in her that she will do her best tomorrow night. But sadly that’s not going to be enough to beat Taylor because American Idol is not a singing competition but more of a popularity contest. I am in total disgust with how the show have manipulated both the contestants and it’s viewers just so they can have their precious high ratings. Not only that, it’s obvious that the show is biased. Look at what they’ve done to Katharine, first they used her beauty against her which is supposed to be an advantage to her because looks play a major role in the hollywood business. Second, they used her hometown against her and created this whole "She’s an L.A girl so obviously she’s an arrogant person" kind of thing. Thirdly the judges are being mean to her and just kept on complimenting her looks so that they will leave people into thinking that she’s only in this competition because of her looks. Then about her homecoming here in L.A, I do believe that they meant to do that just so they can embarrass her in front of millions of viewers. All these stupid schemes and intentions for one purpose alone and that is to have a male idol this year. If they wanted to have a male idol, why even bother auditioning girls in the competition? Especially with the likes of Katharine, who not only has it all but is clearly the best vocalist in the competition today? How stupid can they be? And look at her opponent, Mr. Taylor Hicks a.k.a the Wedding Singer (Sorry but it’s true)? Are they serious? Oh God! If a mediocre like Taylor wins this thing, I am so gonna jump into a cliff and spare myself from that hideous singing and dancing of his (kidding! it’s just an expression, I’m not really going to jump.) Okay so enough with Taylor, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to say that. I’m sure Taylor’s a great guy and all and such a gentleman too but I’m not to keen about him being the next American Idol.
But for Katharine, it’s just too obvious. So that’s why the network did all they could to bring her down but I guess they haven’t done enough because Katharine’s still in the competition. Which has led me to believe that they’re going to have to interfere with the results on wednesday night if they wanted a male idol.
As for all the bashing. I beg you to stop. This has clearly got out of hand, I mean, calling her mother a Wh@r% is simply childish and immature. Saying that she’s arrogant and is a b!tC@ is way out of context! You’ve never even met the girl… It’s just so frustrating when people keeps on insulting her and criticizing her every move. God! I’m so furious with these people!
And as for our lovely judges… Simon you annoy me sometimes, but I do agree with you like 70% at times. If you criticize one contestant base in their singing capabilities then I agree with you completely but when you make stupid remarks like "Taylor is going to win this thing" is completely off base and is unprofessional like. Then there’s Ms. Paula Abdul, I don’t know why she was a judge in the first place. Everytime I look at her on the show it’s as if she’s drunk most of the time. And please, don’t open your mouth if you’ve got nothing useful to say to the contestants. Oh and stop the dancing will you? Your just making a mockery of yourself, you need to have a restraining order. Also would you stop saying that Kat is beautiful and gorgeous whatsoever! Although I agree with you on that, but please try to focus on her singing and criticize her on that, not some silly remarks "You look beautiful" just so you can manipulate people into the whole "She’s just a beautiful young woman and that’s just about it" idea. And I know for a fact that you only like guys in the show and do everything in your power to make sure a guy wins. How pathetic! Get a life will you! Now for Mr. Randy Jackson or should I say "What’s up Dawg?" You know I kind of like you at first, but now Ha! you kidding me? During that time when Chris got voted off the show and you state in your intervies that "America is confused" then after that you make another stupid remark like "Katharine is not going to make it next week because a male will win this competition" now that is very unprofessional! Judges are not supposed to show favoritism towards a particular contestant. Oh that’s not all, then the next week when Katharine sang I believe I can fly where she defended herself and she says "You guys have been hard on me the last couple of weeks" you say on an interview, actually both you and Simon that "Kat needs a reality check" then you say "We’re judges, we’re supposed to be critcizing you" Oh really? And aren’t judges not supposed to show favoritisms? Yeah right! Why don’t you answer that question! Jerk!
Whew! Oh man! I’m so mad right now… I’ll have to apologize for my rude comments but they deserve it because Kat got the same treatment and she totally doesn’t deserve it. But anyways, I will vote for Katharine no matter what happens. I’ll vote for four straight hours! because she is the next American Idol. But sadly I know that Taylor will win this thing, but he’s just going to be the next Ruben (whatever his name was) and he’s not going to make it big in the music industry. However for Kat, win or lose, she will have a bright future ahead of her….
