So this is my second time watching the show, the first was when I was rooting for Ms. Jasmine Trias, but that didn’t work out too well. She never reached the Top 3 but none the less she still had the career going on, so no worries there. However for Ms. Katharine McPhee, this would be my first time voting and to tell you the truth I hate voting! I would just rather sit and watch her win the American Idol title than burning my fingers for dialing the same number all over again. Although when I saw her at the bottom 2 (don’t know when it was) I immediately grabbed my phone and voted my butt off for her! I don’t want to see her go because in reality she is an American Idol Material. Why is that you ask? Well first and foremost, she has a beautiful face and has an amazing voice to come along with it. The producers will not have a hard time promoting her because, hello?!, she is a very marketable person. Katharine is by far the most talented person in the competition, not only can she sing, she can also dance and did I mention that she used to be in musical productions, stage plays, etc… so that literally means that she can act and if you want to be in the Hollywood business you’ve got to have the whole package, and guess what? She does!
Now, what else can I say?
Oh right, she’s the first L.A native (Or someone who didn’t come from Southern California, I think) to make it big in American Idol. So that gives her a little bit of an advantage because, I mean, her house is just a few miles away from the Fox Network Studio and that’s pretty awesome!
She also went to the Notre Dame Highschool (A private school) I don’t really know much about this school but I heard most of it’s student are rich kids, so yeah! She’s rich! Not that rich like a millionare or whatever but just rich. Her dad is actually a producer, not sure what he produces, but I read that he mostly produces Stage Plays and has produced some of the movies too.
Another advantage for Ms. Mcphee is that her mom is a vocal’s coach, so that’s where she got her amazing voice. Clearly she has the best vocals compared to the past American Idol Contestants or even the winners of AI. But that’s just in my opinion though. The only problem is she tends to oversing the songs a bit, so she really has to just tone it down a little. Though I understand why she tends to do it because she’s more of an Opera singer and their range are limitless so maybe she’s just not used to it. But believe me, when she’s on, SHE"S ON! Her performances are magnificent!
Okay so I think I’ve said enough, it’s time to stop talking about her now. Let’s talk about someone else. Like Taylor Hicks, another American Idol hopeful. By the way it’s down to the Top 2 and it’s a boy vs. girl showdown. Katharine Mcphee vs. Taylor Hicks (a.k.a McPheever vs. Soul Patrol)

Right… two words "Jay Leno" correct?
If anyone knows the "Jay Leno Show" then that’s how I describe him. Seriously, when I first saw him I was like "Dude, how old are you?" the gray hair is just really annoying, Man! If I could I would dye his freakin’ hair! But anyways, down to my observations…
Okay so I like Taylor, he’s a great and fun guy. His performances are fun to watch but that’s all there is to it. I will admit he’s a great performer but come on, reality check people! In these days, looks play a major part in the entertainment industry, not that I’m saying he’s not good looking and all but the gray hair? what’s up with that? Alright so enough with the hair (Sorry I really can’t help it) If you look at his performance and listen to his voice, all I can say is that there’s nothing special about it. It’s like what Simon says, "karaoke" but people are blinded by this and can’t seem to realize that he just have an average voice.
Unlike Katharine, although she’s not very consistent throughout the entire competition (that’s what people say anyway, but I don’t think she was inconsistent at all) she tries out different things and has given the audience a wide array of vocals. She doesn’t just sing with a single note but constantly changes them, so that is more difficult and risky if I may say. That’s what the people have to see…
But I guess everyone has their different point of views…
And I’ve stated mine…
So I’m done here…
My votes will definitely go to Katharine
